1. You didn't machine wash it before your first use
The first but most skipped over instruction is to throw your new MakeUp Eraser in the machine with any load of laundry before your first use. This is because washing it activates the fibers in the cloth to start working. If this step is skipped, you may have a harder time to remove your makeup.
2. You're using it dry
Water is the most important ingredient... hey it's our only ingredient! Make sure you are fully saturating the part of the cloth you are using to remove your makeup. Let the water really absorb into the cloth. We like to say: The warmer the water, the wetter the better!
3. You're not using the short fiber side with circular motions to erase
The short fiber side of the eraser is to remove your makeup. Once you remove your makeup, flip your eraser over and use the longer fiber side (side with tag) to exfoilate. Be sure to always use circular motions on your face, especially around the eyes! When using the circular technique you will not have to rub hard or pull the skin. The fibers will break up the dirt, oils and makeup effortlessly.

After just 2 uses, the cloth Is picking up an odor. I wash it 2x per week and rinse every time after use thoroughly. I let it dry totally in between, non-folded, why does it smell bad!? I’m using it to remove a mineral (Jane Iredale) Makeup and this makeup is inert. No bacteria. I am not sure where it’s coming from. It started this after only a few wks.
Use with extreme caution on your eyes! It can really damage your skin! I fell in love with this so i bought one for every lady in the family for birthday gifts. I have been out if town so i didn’t bring liquid remover and only used the makeup eraser. Now I am nursing torn, swollen cracked eyelids and i am certain of the culprit! Great idea, but i will be returning the ones I haven’t given out already.
Hi there, does anyone wash their face with soap after the makeup eraser cloth? I have been but am wondering if it’s necessary?
I love the MUE but when gently using it to take off my eye makeup, it routinely pulls 3-5 eyelashes out each time. Is this happening to others as well?
I just took my MUE out of the dryer and went into the bathroom thinking “sure it’s going to work mmmhmmmm we’ll see” OMG works amazing no joke. Incredible. I’ll never use anything else.
